    Why convert PNG to PDF?

    PNG is the go-to format for screenshots, logos, charts and digital drawings. Because it uses lossless compression, text and fine lines stay sharp. But when you need to send several screenshots to an organisation, a teacher or a client, a pile of separate PNG files looks messy and can easily end up in the wrong order – and most application systems ask for documents as a single PDF anyway.

    The PNG to PDF tool places each uploaded PNG on its own PDF page and combines them all into one file in the order you choose. Flat-colour images such as screenshots are stored losslessly, so small text doesn't get blurry. PNGs with a transparent background (for example a logo or a signature image) appear on a white background in the PDF.

    You can also add other images such as JPG, WEBP or HEIC to the list; they all appear in order in the same PDF. You can upload up to 20 images and 25 MB in total at a time.

    How to convert PNG to PDF in 4 steps

    1. Add your PNG files: Drag your screenshots or PNG images into the area above or click to select them. Use the “Add images” button to add more later.

    2. Set the order: Drag and drop the thumbnails or use the ▲ ▼ buttons to set the page order; remove any file you don't want with ✕.

    3. Choose page settings: For screenshots, the “Fit to image” option creates each page in the image's own proportions; for documents you plan to print, choose A4 or Letter. You can also set the orientation and margin here.

    4. Download the PDF: Click “Convert to PDF”; all your PNGs are combined into one PDF that is ready to download.

    When is PNG to PDF useful?

    • Turning screenshots into a document: Collecting the steps to reproduce an app bug, a bank transfer receipt, an order confirmation or a chat conversation into one PDF for a support team or your accounts department.

    • Homework and presentations: Handing in drawings, diagrams and slide images made on a tablet or computer to your teacher as a single file.

    • Design approval: Exporting logo, poster or UI designs as PNG and sending them to a client as an ordered PDF presentation.

    • Charts and tables: Collecting charts saved as PNG from Excel or analytics software into one PDF to attach to a report.

    • Scanned pages: Uploading document pages saved as PNG by a scanner or phone app to an application system as a single PDF.

    Sharpness, transparency and limits

    • Text stays sharp: Flat-colour PNGs such as screenshots and charts are embedded in the PDF losslessly whenever that gives a smaller result; they are not converted to JPG and blurred. Photo-like PNGs are stored as high-quality JPEG so the file size doesn't balloon.

    • Transparent backgrounds: PNGs with transparency are placed on a white background, so no black or checkerboard background shows up in the PDF.

    • Resolution: Images are kept at up to roughly 200 DPI for their size on the page; larger images are scaled down to fit the page, and small images are never artificially upscaled. With “Fit to image”, small screenshots stay at their natural size.

    • Limits: Up to 20 images and 25 MB in total per conversion. PNGs above 50 megapixels are rejected for security reasons; this limit comfortably covers full-page screenshots.

    Privacy and automatic deletion

    Your files are sent to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The original file you upload is deleted as soon as processing finishes. The result file is kept only briefly so you can download it: an automatic clean-up job runs every minute and permanently deletes files older than 10 minutes. We therefore recommend downloading your result as soon as it is ready.

    The download link only works for the user or browser session that started the job, and your files are never shared with other users. Our job log stores only details such as the file name, size and type of operation, never the file itself.

    Is converting PNG to PDF free?

    Yes. The tool is free and works without an account. Guests have a 24-hour usage allowance per tool; a free account lets you convert more files.

    Can I turn several screenshots into one PDF?

    Yes. You can upload up to 20 images at once; each one becomes its own page and they are all combined into a single PDF in the order of the list.

    How does a transparent PNG background look in the PDF?

    Transparent areas turn white. Transparent PNGs such as logos or signatures appear on a white page in the PDF, without a black or checkerboard background.

    Will text get blurry when I convert to PDF?

    No. Flat-colour PNGs such as screenshots are stored losslessly, so even small text stays as clear as it was before conversion.

    Can I combine PNG and JPG in the same PDF?

    Yes. You can also add JPG, WEBP, HEIC, BMP and GIF images to the list; all images appear in order in the same PDF.

    Can I select the text in the resulting PDF?

    No, the pages are added as images. To make the text selectable and searchable, run the resulting PDF through the PDF OCR tool.

    Are my files stored?

    No. Your images are deleted from the server as soon as the PDF has been created. The PDF is kept only so you can download it and is deleted automatically within about 10 minutes.
