No scanner? Your phone is enough
When you need to send a letter, a signed contract or an invoice as a PDF, there is usually no scanner at hand. A photo taken with a phone is skewed, shows the table around the page, has a shadow in one corner and is far larger than it needs to be.
This tool finds the four edges of the document in your photo, corrects the perspective so the page is perfectly flat, and works out its true width-to-height ratio, so an A4 sheet comes out as A4. Then it whitens the paper, removes shadows and makes the text crisp. If an edge is not quite right, drag the corner with your finger; a loupe shows the exact edge.
Everything happens in your browser, on your own device. The camera picture and your photos are never sent to any server; the page comes with a security rule that technically blocks it. You can scan personal documents such as ID cards, medical reports or payslips with peace of mind.
02
Scan a document with your phone in 3 steps
Scan: Tap “Scan with camera” and fit the document in the frame; its edges are marked live, then press the shutter. You can shoot several pages in a row or choose photos from your gallery (up to 30 pages).
Check: You see each page as it will come out right next to the photo. If needed, drag the corners, rotate the page or change the order. Choose a look: Color, Gray, Black & white or Photo.
Download: Press “Create PDF” and all pages download as a single A4 PDF. You can also get every page as a separate JPG.
03
Who is it for?
Applications and online forms: Preparing a neat, small PDF of a diploma, proof of address or medical certificate to upload to an application form.
Signed paperwork: Scanning a hand-signed letter, contract or consent form to send it by email.
ID cards: Putting the front and back at their real size on a single A4 page for a bank, a school or a job application.
Invoices and receipts: Sending expense documents to your accountant as one tidy PDF; long receipts keep their own shape with “As the document”.
Students: Turning handwritten homework, lecture notes and whiteboard photos into a readable PDF.
Offices and freelancers: Digitizing a document on the spot, in a meeting or on site, without walking to a scanner.
04
Looks, file size and privacy
Looks: Color whitens the paper, removes shadows and keeps the colors. Gray gives clean grayscale in which signatures and stamps stay legible. Black & white sharpens the text with a local threshold and produces the smallest file. Photo only corrects the perspective.
File size: Black & white pages are written into the PDF as lossless 1-bit images; a plain text page usually takes a few dozen KB. Color and gray pages are written as JPEG at about 200 dpi. If you need it even smaller, use the PDF compression tool.
True proportions: The tool computes the real width-to-height ratio of a page photographed at an angle from the camera geometry. Documents very close to A4 are saved as exact A4.
ID cards: With “ID card” selected, every two photos count as the front and back of one card; the cards are placed at their real size of 85.6 × 54 mm and 300 dpi on a single A4 page. Nothing on the card can be edited.
Limits: Up to 30 pages at a time, each photo up to 30 MB. HEIC photos are accepted when your browser can open them. The live camera needs your browser's camera permission; without it, your phone's own camera app opens instead.
Privacy: Photos and the camera picture are processed only in this tab; nothing is uploaded or stored. Closing the tab deletes everything.
05
Privacy and automatic deletion
This tool does not send your file to our server: all processing happens in your browser, on your device. The page is served with a security policy (Content-Security-Policy) that technically prevents the file's contents from being sent anywhere; no analytics or advertising scripts run on this page.
The result file is also created on your device and only you download it. It is cleared from the browser's memory when you close the tab or choose “New file”. Our server keeps no file name or content record of this processing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to install an app to scan documents with my phone?
No. This page works in your phone's browser: just tap “Scan with camera”. No installation and no account are needed.
Are my photos or my camera picture sent to a server?
No. Edge detection, correction and PDF creation all happen on your device, inside your browser. The page comes with a security rule that blocks sending data out at browser level, so you can use it safely for ID and medical documents too.
What if the edges are detected incorrectly?
Drag the red corners to the right place with your finger or mouse; while you drag, a loupe shows the edge up close. You can also grab the inside of the frame to move all four corners together. “Auto” returns to the detected edges and “Whole photo” to the entire picture. A dark, flat background makes edge detection easier.
Which look should I choose?
For text-heavy letters and forms, Black & white gives the sharpest and smallest result. If there is a signature, a stamp or a colored logo, Color or Gray is the better choice. Photo only straightens the page; use it when you want to keep the document's texture exactly as it is.
How large will the PDF be?
A black-and-white text page usually stays under 100 KB; a color page is typically a few hundred KB. The file size is shown on the result screen. If a website asks for a smaller file, choose Black & white or use the PDF compression tool.
How do I put the front and back of an ID card on one page?
Choose “ID card” as the document type and take a photo of the front first, then the back. The cards are straightened and placed one below the other at their real size (85.6 × 54 mm) on a single A4 page; printed at 100 % they come out the same size as the card.
The camera does not open. What can I do?
When your browser asks for camera access, choose “Allow”; if you refused earlier, you can turn it on in the site settings next to the address bar. If the camera still does not open, the “Use the phone's camera” button opens your phone's own camera app, and the photo is scanned the same way.
