Check before you download
The automatic check found no WordArt, font, repeated-text or old-format problems. Rotated text boxes and tables aren't checked, so look through the pages before you download.
We couldn't prepare a preview. You can download the PDF and check it there.
If you need exact print quality, File > Save As > PDF on a computer with Publisher installed gives the most accurate result.

Why convert your Publisher file to PDF?
Flyers, invitations, certificates, brochures and newsletters made with Microsoft Publisher are saved with the .pub extension. You need Publisher to open these files, Publisher only runs on Windows, and Microsoft has announced that Publisher will no longer be included in Microsoft 365 from October 2026. If you have .pub files but no program to open them, converting them to PDF is the most practical way forward.
The Dönüştür.net Publisher to PDF tool opens your file on our server with the open-source LibreOffice and exports every page to PDF. When the conversion finishes, you see a preview of the first page and any likely problems we spotted in the file before you download.
The tool is in beta: single-page flyers, invitations, cards and certificates usually turn out well, while newsletters and booklets whose text flows from page to page, WordArt headings and rotated text boxes may look different. If you need exact print quality, File > Save As > PDF on a computer with Publisher installed gives the most accurate result.

How to convert a Publisher file to PDF in 3 steps
Upload your file: Drag your .pub Publisher file into the area above or click to select it. Files can be up to 25 MB.
Convert to PDF: Click “Convert to PDF”. The file is opened on the server and every page is exported to PDF; most files are ready within a few seconds.
Preview and download: Check the first-page preview and any warnings, then click “Download file” to save your PDF.
03
When is it useful?
No Publisher at hand: Opening, reading and printing a .pub file someone sent you without installing Publisher.
Mac, phone and tablet: Viewing old flyers, invitations and brochures on devices where Publisher doesn't run.
Archived files: Keeping newsletters, certificates and posters made in Publisher years ago in a format that opens anywhere.
Print shops and copy centres: Sending simple designs to a printer or copy shop that asks for a PDF, after checking the colours and layout in the preview first.
School and club notices: Sharing notices and invitations made in Publisher as PDFs by email or messaging apps.
Getting ready to edit: Converting the file to PDF first and then from PDF to Word to rework the content.
04
Conversion quality and limitations
Preview first: When the conversion finishes, you see a preview of the first page and automatic warnings. The warnings cover WordArt headings that couldn't be carried over, fonts our server doesn't have, text repeated across pages and the old Publisher 98 format.
What usually works well: Single-page flyers, invitations, cards, certificates, brochures and multi-page documents whose text flows in a single box are usually converted cleanly.
What may look different: In newsletters and booklets whose text flows through linked boxes from page to page, text may be repeated or missing. WordArt headings are not carried over; rotated text boxes, image cropping and text wrapping may look different.
Fonts: If a font used in the file isn't available on our server, a similar one is used instead; lines may get longer and boxes may overflow. Common fonts such as Arial, Times New Roman and Calibri keep their metrics.
Older files: Files saved in Publisher 2002 or later (2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2021, Microsoft 365) are supported. In files from Publisher 98 and earlier, letters from languages such as Turkish, Greek or Russian may look garbled.
Security and size: Only genuine Publisher files are accepted; other files with a changed extension are rejected. Macros are never run and external links are not downloaded. Up to 25 MB per file.
05
Privacy and automatic deletion
Your files are sent to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The original file you upload is deleted as soon as processing finishes. The result file is kept only briefly so you can download it: an automatic clean-up job runs every minute and permanently deletes files older than 10 minutes. We therefore recommend downloading your result as soon as it is ready.
The download link only works for the user or browser session that started the job, and your files are never shared with other users. Our job log stores only details such as the file name, size and type of operation, never the file itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I open a .pub file without Publisher?
Yes. The conversion runs on our server, so you don't need Publisher or any other program on your computer. You can open the resulting PDF on any device, and the tool also works on phones and tablets.
Will the PDF look exactly like it does in Publisher?
Not always. Simple flyers, invitations and certificates usually come out very close; files with linked text boxes, WordArt and special fonts may differ. That's why we show a preview of the first page and automatic warnings before you download. For an exact result, use File > Save As > PDF on a computer with Publisher installed.
Why are my WordArt headings missing from the PDF?
The open-source library we use to open the file can't carry over WordArt objects. If the file contains WordArt, the result screen shows a warning with how many there are; you can retype those headings with the Edit PDF tool.
Which Publisher versions are supported?
Files saved with Publisher 2002, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2021 and Microsoft 365 are supported. Files from Publisher 98 and earlier also open, but letters from languages such as Turkish, Greek or Russian may look garbled.
Can I convert my Publisher file to Word?
Not directly. Convert it to PDF with this tool first, then turn it into an editable Word document with the PDF to Word tool. Complex layouts may shift a little in the Word document.
Are my uploaded files stored?
No. Your uploaded file is deleted from the server as soon as the conversion finishes. The PDF and its preview are kept only so you can download them and are deleted automatically within about 10 minutes.
Does it cost anything to convert Publisher to PDF?
No. The tool is free and works without an account. Guests can use this tool 10 times in 24 hours; a free account lets you convert more files.
