How do you make certificates for dozens of people easily?

When a seminar, course, competition or volunteer event ends, you want to give everyone a certificate with their name on it. Opening the same design for each person and changing the name takes hours even for 40 people, and one typo means printing the certificate again.

Names with accents are a problem of their own: some programs and fonts print letters like é, ñ, ø or č as empty boxes, question marks or the wrong letter. A certificate that misspells someone's name loses its value.

This tool takes your list and draws a page for every person: pick one of three ready designs (classic, modern, minimal) and write the title, description, date and signers, or print only the names on your own template image made in a program like Canva. The preview shows the first name live. The result is one PDF; you can also get a separate PDF for each person in a ZIP. The fonts come with the page, so accented letters print exactly as typed; everything happens in your browser.

02

Make certificates in 3 steps

  1. Add the names: Type or paste one name per line, or choose a CSV / TXT file (up to 200 people). “First name” and “Last name” columns are joined.

  2. Pick a design: In the classic, modern or minimal design, write the title, description, date and signers; or choose “My template”, add a ready image and set the height of the name. The name font and colour are up to you.

  3. Download the PDF: “Make certificates” draws an A4 landscape page for each person, all in one PDF. You can also get one PDF per person in a ZIP.

03

Who it helps

  • Teachers and schools: Thank-you, merit, achievement and participation certificates for the whole class in minutes.

  • Trainers and courses: Certificates for participants at the end of a seminar, workshop or online course.

  • Associations and volunteer groups: Thank-you certificates for everyone who helped at an event.

  • Sports clubs and competitions: Ranking or participation certificates for a tournament, race or quiz.

  • Companies: Certificates for internal training, onboarding and awards, with names printed on the company template.

  • Event organisers: Certificates for speakers and volunteers on the same day.

04

Design, fonts and limits

  • Page: Every certificate is an A4 landscape page (about 170 dpi). It prints sharply on home and office printers; for a print shop, prepare your own template image at a high resolution.

  • Fonts: For the name choose handwriting (Great Vibes) or plain bold (DN Sans). Both come with the page and include Turkish, Azerbaijani and other Latin accented letters, so no letter shifts in the program that opens the PDF.

  • Your template: A PNG, JPG or WEBP image (up to 20 MB). It is centred to fill the A4 landscape page; use a landscape design. In this mode only the name is written; the title, date and signatures should be on your template.

  • Text: Names and text are drawn into the page image; in the PDF they cannot be selected or copied, but they look exactly the same on screen and on paper. Very long names are shrunk to fit the line.

  • List: From a CSV the first column, or the column headed “Name / Full name / First name”, is used; a “Last name” column is added. A file saved from Excel as “CSV (comma or semicolon delimited)” works directly, older encodings included.

  • Limits and privacy: Up to 200 people at a time. Your name list and template are not uploaded or stored; all pages are drawn in your browser.

Privacy and automatic deletion

This tool does not send your file to our server: all processing happens in your browser, on your device. The page is served with a security policy (Content-Security-Policy) that technically prevents the file's contents from being sent anywhere; no analytics or advertising scripts run on this page.

The result file is also created on your device and only you download it. It is cleared from the browser's memory when you close the tab or choose “New file”. Our server keeps no file name or content record of this processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use my name list from Excel?

In Excel use File › Save As and choose “CSV”, then pick the file with “Open file”. The first column, or the one headed Name / Full name / First name, is used; a separate Last name column is joined to it. You can also copy the names in Excel and paste them straight into the box.

Will accented letters (é, ñ, ø, č) come out right?

Yes. The fonts come with the page and include the accented Latin letters, and every page is drawn with them, so a name like “Zoë Šimić” or “José Núñez” looks right in whatever program opens the PDF.

Can I use my own design?

Yes. Save a landscape design with an empty space for the name from Canva, Word or another program as PNG or JPG, choose “My template” and add the image. Set the height of the name with the slider, plus the name font and colour; the preview shows it at once.

Can I get a separate PDF for each person?

Yes. Tick “Separate PDF for each person (ZIP)” and, next to the single PDF, you get one PDF per person named after them in a ZIP, ready to email to each one.

How many names can I use?

Up to 200 people at a time. Make longer lists in parts of 200. Each page is about 300–500 KB, so a 200-page PDF is a few tens of MB.

Can I select and edit the text in the PDF?

No. The name and text are drawn into the page image; this keeps them identical in every program, but they cannot be edited inside the PDF. If you spot a mistake, fix the list and make the certificates again in seconds.

Is my name list sent to a server?

No. The names, your template and the PDF are all processed in your browser; the page comes with a security policy that technically blocks connections to the outside. You can safely use student or staff lists.
