Why save a PDF as PNG?
PNG is a lossless image format: no detail is thrown away during compression. That's why, when you turn PDF pages containing text, tables, charts, logos or technical drawings into images, PNG avoids the blurry, smudged letter edges you often see with JPG. It gives the cleanest result for a table going into a presentation, a diagram for a document or a page to show on a website.
The PDF to PNG tool renders every page at 150 DPI, so an A4 page becomes a crisp PNG of roughly 1240 × 1754 pixels. A single-page PDF is downloaded directly as a PNG file; a multi-page PDF comes as one ZIP archive with a separate PNG for each page.
For photo-heavy or scanned pages, PNG files can be large; for such documents you can pick JPG under “Which format?” to get smaller files.

PNG or JPG? Resolution and limits
When to use PNG: For pages with text, tables, charts, drawings and logos. Because it is lossless, letter edges and fine lines stay exactly as they are.
When to use JPG: For photo-heavy or scanned pages. JPG produces much smaller files for these pages; just pick JPG under “Which format?”.
150 DPI resolution: An A4 page becomes roughly 1240 × 1754 pixels – sharp enough for reading on screen, presentations and the web. Pages are rendered exactly as they look in the PDF, with a white background.
Multi-page documents: Each page is added to the ZIP archive as a separate PNG with the page number in its name, so the order never gets mixed up.
Size limit: Up to 25 MB per PDF. If you only need a few pages, split them out first with the Split PDF tool.

Privacy and automatic deletion
Your files are sent to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The original file you upload is deleted as soon as processing finishes. The result file is kept only briefly so you can download it: an automatic clean-up job runs every minute and permanently deletes files older than 10 minutes. We therefore recommend downloading your result as soon as it is ready.
The download link only works for the user or browser session that started the job, and your files are never shared with other users. Our job log stores only details such as the file name, size and type of operation, never the file itself.

Is converting PDF to PNG free?
Yes. The tool is free and works without an account. Guests have a 24-hour usage allowance per tool; a free account lets you convert more files.
What's the difference between PNG and JPG?
PNG is lossless: text and lines stay sharp, but the file can be larger. JPG makes much smaller files for photos, but letter edges may get slightly blurry. PNG is recommended for text and graphics, JPG for photos and scans.

Are my files stored?
