Address and note
Long-press the spot on a map and copy the coordinates; you can paste a single line like “51.5074, -0.1278” into the latitude box.
Banking apps may not treat this as a payment code; payment QR codes (such as the EPC QR code in Europe) come from your bank or banking app. This QR code carries the IBAN as plain text you can copy.

At least 20 mm is recommended; for scanning from a distance, make it a tenth of the scanning distance.
When off, the card shows only the network name; the password is only inside the QR code.
Never expires: the QR code has no redirect; the content is inside the code itself. If your link changes, you need to print a new code.
Print at 100% scale; before printing in bulk, scan a test print with a few phones.

How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?
A Wi-Fi QR code carries the network name (SSID), security type and password as a standard line that phones understand: WIFI:T:WPA;S:network name;P:password;;. A guest points the camera at the code, taps the “Join network” prompt and connects without typing the password. It is especially handy for long, complex passwords.
It is ideal for cafés, restaurants, hotels, offices, clinics and homes: instead of reading out the password or writing it on the wall, you put a card on the table. You choose whether the password is also printed on the card; by default the card shows only the network name, and the password is only inside the QR code.
The tool escapes backslashes, semicolons, commas, colons and quotation marks in the network name and password as the standard requires, so names like “Café;Garden” are read correctly too. Your password is processed in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
02
Make a Wi-Fi QR code in 3 steps
Enter the network details: Type the network name (SSID) exactly as it is, paying attention to upper and lower case. Choose the security type (WPA/WPA2 on most routers) and enter the password; if the network is hidden, tick “Hidden network”.
Set up the table card: Choose “Table card” as the output and type the heading and the note at the bottom. If you want the password printed on the card as text, tick “Also print the password on the card”.
Test, then print: Scan the downloaded code from the screen with an iPhone and an Android phone and check that they really join the network. Then print the A4 page at 100% scale and cut out the cards.

Where is it useful?
Cafés and restaurants: One card per table; staff no longer have to repeat the password over and over.
Hotels and guesthouses: Put the Wi-Fi QR code in the rooms or at reception so guests are online as soon as they walk into their room.
Offices and waiting rooms: Put up the visitor network's code in the meeting room instead of sharing the staff network password.
Clinics and salons: Give waiting clients easy access to the guest network.
Home: Share your long router password with guests via a card on the fridge.
Events and classrooms: Participants or students connect in one go from the code on the projector screen.
04
Security, compatibility and limits
The password is inside the code: Even if the card does not show the password, anyone who scans the QR code can find it out. Use the card only for a guest network; if possible, set up a separate guest network on your router.
Security type: The “WPA” option covers WPA, WPA2 and WPA3. WEP is outdated and insecure; use it only for very old devices. For open networks, leave the password field empty.
Compatibility: On iPhone, the Camera app on iOS 11 and later recognises Wi-Fi codes; on Android, the camera or Google Lens does. Some corporate networks (WPA2-Enterprise, which asks for a username) do not support joining via QR code.
If the password changes: The code has no redirect, so when you change the password you need to create a new code and reprint the cards.
Printing: On the table card the code is 7 cm; set error correction to Q or H. A matte laminate reduces glare and makes the code easier to scan.
The network name must match exactly: Spaces, upper and lower case and special characters in the SSID must be typed exactly as they are; even one different letter means the phone cannot find the network.

Privacy and automatic deletion
This tool does not send your file to our server: all processing happens in your browser, on your device. The page is served with a security policy (Content-Security-Policy) that technically prevents the file's contents from being sent anywhere; no analytics or advertising scripts run on this page.
The result file is also created on your device and only you download it. It is cleared from the browser's memory when you close the tab or choose “New file”. Our server keeps no file name or content record of this processing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can an iPhone read a Wi-Fi QR code?
Yes. On iOS 11 and later, the Camera app recognises Wi-Fi QR codes and shows a “Join network” notification at the top of the screen. Just tap it; no password needs to be typed. The Code Scanner in Control Centre does the same.
Can Android phones read Wi-Fi QR codes?
On Android 10 and later, the camera app or Google Lens reads the Wi-Fi code and shows a “Connect” button. On Samsung phones, the camera recognises the code directly if QR code scanning is turned on in the settings. Older phones may need a QR scanner app.
Can I share the network without printing the password on the card?
Yes, that is the default. The table card shows only the network name and the heading; the password is only inside the QR code. Still, anyone who scans the code can see the password on their phone, so use the card only for a network you want to share with guests.
Does it work with a WPA3 router?
In most cases, yes: the “WPA” option covers WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 networks, and current phones choose the right method when connecting. An old phone cannot join a WPA3-only network, not even via QR code; that is a limit of the phone itself.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent to your server?
No. The code is drawn in your browser; the network name and password are not sent to our server or stored. The page is served with a strict security policy that technically blocks outside connections, and no advertising or analytics scripts run on this page.
How do I print a menu QR code?
If you want a menu code next to the Wi-Fi card, choose “Link” on the main QR Code Generator page, type your menu address and use the “Table card” output again. If you put both codes on the same card, leave at least 1 cm between them.
What happens if I change the password?
The old code will no longer connect; you need to create a new code with the new password and reprint the cards. A static QR code has no redirect that could be changed later, which is also why it works indefinitely and without tracking.
