Merge Screenshots

Choose your screenshots and they're stacked into one long image. In screenshots taken while scrolling, the repeated part is found automatically, and you can trim the top and bottom bars too. Your screenshots never leave your device.

Why merge screenshots?

To share a long chat, an order summary or a web page, you usually take several screenshots in a row. When they're sent separately, the order gets mixed up, the same status bar and bottom menu repeat in each one, and lines that overlap while scrolling show up twice.

This tool merges screenshots into one long image, stacked top to bottom. The “Find the repeated part automatically” option compares two consecutive screenshots row by row, finds the part they share and keeps it only once; a fixed header and bottom menu also drop out of the screenshots in the middle on their own. Where it can't find a match, it says so clearly and adds the screenshots as they are.

Instead of automatic detection, or in addition to it, you can also trim the top and bottom bars by pixels: the status bar and navigation bar then appear only once in the result. Your screenshots are processed in your browser and are not sent to a server.

02

Merge screenshots in 3 steps

  1. Choose the screenshots: Choose the screenshots in order; if needed, fix the order by dragging or with “Sort by name” (phones name screenshots with the date and time).

  2. Trim the overlap and bars: “Find the repeated part automatically” is on by default; check the joins in the preview. If needed, trim the status bar and bottom menu with the top and bottom bar sliders.

  3. Download: Press “Combine”; the single long image downloads as PNG (text stays sharp) or JPG.

When is it useful?

  • Chat screenshots: Sharing a long WhatsApp or text conversation as one image, without repeated lines.

  • Web pages and articles: Saving or sending a page captured while scrolling as one long image.

  • Orders, invoices and receipts: Gathering a summary that spans several screens into one image.

  • App steps: Showing the steps of a setting or process in order, one below the other.

  • Bug reports: Sending the screens where you ran into a problem to the support team as one image.

  • Lecture and meeting notes: Archiving on-screen slides or note pages as one image.

04

Repeated parts, bars and quality

  • How automatic detection works: The rows of two consecutive screenshots are compared using a small fingerprint; if the shared section is distinctive enough, it's found. In screenshots full of flat-coloured or identical rows (an empty list, a plain background), there's no reliable match, so they aren't joined at an overlap and the page tells you so.

  • Same device, same scale: The best results come from screenshots taken on the same phone at the same zoom. Screenshots of different widths are scaled to a common width; in that case automatic detection can be harder.

  • Bar trimming: The top bar is cut from the second screenshot on, and the bottom bar up to the second-to-last screenshot. The value is in pixels of the first screenshot; you see the result in the preview right away.

  • Long image limit: Phone browsers can draw images of at most 16.7 megapixels. When many screenshots are merged, the result is scaled down to that limit and the page tells you; 10 phone screens usually stay under the limit.

  • Format: PNG keeps text sharp and is recommended for screenshots; if the file gets too large, choose JPG or WEBP.

  • Privacy: Chats and account screens contain personal information, which is why the work happens in your browser: your screenshots aren't uploaded and the resulting file contains no location data. Check other people's numbers and names before you share.

Privacy and automatic deletion

This tool does not send your file to our server: all processing happens in your browser, on your device. The page is served with a security policy (Content-Security-Policy) that technically prevents the file's contents from being sent anywhere; no analytics or advertising scripts run on this page.

The result file is also created on your device and only you download it. It is cleared from the browser's memory when you close the tab or choose “New file”. Our server keeps no file name or content record of this processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I merge screenshots vertically?

Choose the screenshots; this page opens with the “Stacked” layout and automatic overlap detection. Check the preview and press “Combine”; a single long image downloads.

Why wasn't the repeated part found?

If the screenshots share no common section (you scrolled too far), the shared section is a flat colour, or the screenshots were taken at different scales, no reliable match can be found. The screenshots are then added as they are; you can trim the bars by hand or take them again, scrolling a shorter distance each time.

The clock and battery bar at the top repeats in every screenshot. How do I remove it?

Set the “Trim top bar” slider to the height of the status bar; the bar stays in the first screenshot and is cut from the others. For the navigation bar at the bottom, use “Trim bottom bar”.

How is this different from my phone's scrolling screenshot feature?

Scrolling screenshots don't work in every app, and on iPhone they usually only produce a PDF, for Safari pages. This tool combines ordinary screenshots afterwards and works with screenshots from any app.

How many screenshots can I merge?

Up to 30. If the result exceeds 16.7 megapixels, it's scaled down proportionally so that it opens in phone browsers; the page tells you when this happens.

Which format should I save in?

PNG is recommended to keep text sharp. If the file is too large, choose WEBP or JPG; with JPG you can adjust the quality.

Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?

No. The merging happens in your browser; your chats and screens aren't sent to a server, and the resulting file contains no location data.
